Well, as John Abell did in his 2002 Suburu you can easily place your Iphone or Ipod touch into your tape player and have a comfortable place for it to rest without taking up a cupholder.
Sounds cool to me, but the only problem I have is, I still use my tape player! haha, because that's where my adapter goes!
