SMS 911


The U.S. government is trying to bring the 911 emergency service "into the 21st century" by looking into allowing text, photo and video reports from mobile phones.

The Federal Communications Commission said Tuesday that 70% of 911 calls come from mobile phones. It also said some situations -- such as a home intruder -- don't allow the victim to make a voice call safely.

What What!


South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker are being sued by Brownmark Films for copying their What What (In the Butt) video.

Producers of the video filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Viacom claiming that the breach was "willful, intentional, and purposeful, in disregard of an indifferent to the rights of Brownmark." The company is seeking a permanent injunction and maximum statutory damages.

3-D Experience


My3D brings the 3-D experience from the big screen to your iPhone or iPod Touch.

The nation's second-largest toy maker is unveiled to investors on Tuesday the handheld device that attaches to the two Apple Inc. devices. It promises three-dimensional content that offers a 360-degree experience in gaming, virtual travel experiences and entertainment content. It's aimed at both children and adults.

The device, which resembles a pair of binoculars with a slot in which users insert their iPod or iPhone, will be priced at $30. It will be available starting next spring at stores where Apple's iPhones and iPod Touches are available.

They are promoting adoption.

Shutting down stores will not only slow the demand for pet store puppies, it will bring attention to the issue of puppy mills and overpopulation, which will have a more lasting impact.
